Volunteering with the CCRI

Besides our volunteer Board of Directors, the CCRI engages over 50 volunteers annually to help with various projects and tasks.

The Cornwall Carbon Reduction Initiative participates in and operates several projects annually. These events and educational programs can vary from year to year, but there are always on our calendar. For example, every June, the CCRI partners with Cornwall Transit and the Cornwall Public Library to host a series of educational workshops for students. During Canadian Environment Week, we host Cornwall's Commuter Challenge, to help local employees work together to find alternative forms of transportation throughout SD&G.

Because we have a wide variety of projects, our volunteers have more choice when deciding how they would like to help us spread the word! For example, you could help us with: teaching; marketing; social media management; copywriting (web & print); administrative tasks; and corresponding with partners/participants.

If you or someone you know would like to learn more about volunteering with the CCRI, please fill out our Volunteer Questionnaire, and send it to us by e-mail, fax or mail. Upon receiving it, we'll contact you about getting involved!
